Joint Auctions prior to Moon Festival were a big draw. A new all-time high auction amount: NT$237,944,807 The AEA branches launched joint auctions across the country on Sept 4th in the lead-up to the Moon Festival. A wide variety of items were offered in the auctions, attracting huge crowds to join the bidding. Real estate items and movable properties that were auctioned off fetched NT$237,944,807 in total. A helicopter of SunRise Airlines that the Taipei branch failed to auction off during previous auctions was eventually auctioned off for NT$4.78 million. Real estate items auctioned off included: A building in Wanhua District, Taipei City, which the Taipei branch auctioned off for NT$9.01 million; 5 lots of land and buildings in Shihlin District, Taipei City, which the Shihlin branch auctioned off for NT$28.18 million; 2 lots of land in Sanchung District, New Taipei City, and 5 lots of land on Wenhua Road in Banqiao District, New Taipei City, which the New Taipei branch auctioned off for NT$36 million and NT$8.71 million, respectively; 3 lots of land and a building in Longtan District, Taoyuan City, and a building and its associated land in Pingzhen District, Taoyuan City, which the Taoyuan branch auctioned off for NT$99.5 million and NT$3.9 million, respectively; a lot of land and two buildings in Dali District, Taichung City, and two buildings in Beitun District, Taichung City, which the Taichung branch auctioned off for NT$15.03 million and NT$12.31 million, respectively. Real estate items auctioned off this time fetched NT$230,576,954, marking a new record. In addition, movable properties auctioned off by the AEA branches across the country reached NT$7,367,853. The Taipei branch auctioned off coral ornaments, bottles of Golden Dragon and Peony-class Kinmen Kaoliang liquor, bottles of Bernard champagne, bottles of perfume, sunglasses, and jade pendants and earrings of obligor Wongji Jewelry for NT$150,000, attracting many interested people. The Shihlin branch auctioned off a Mercedes Benz sedan for NT$180,000. Other items including jade articles, tea products, name-brand women’s clothing and share certificates of Chentek Industrial Enterprise Company were auctioned off for over NT$140,000. The Taoyuan branch auctioned off a sedan and a motorcycle for NT$170,000 plus and NT$40,000 plus, respectively. The Kaohsiung branch auctioned off a bridge crane for NT$150,000. The Ilan branch auctioned off two CMC vans for NT$100,000 and NT$20,000 plus, respectively. The Hsinchu branch auctioned off 6 gold bars for NT$1.27 million. People participating in the auctions were happy about the bargain sales. The auctions also helped the government secure outstanding taxes and fees.
