Be careful of new tricks from fraudulent organizations

Fraudulent organizations keep changing and improving their cheating tricks.  Administrative Enforcement Agency, Ministry of Justice recently dealt with a new way of cheating criminal organizations that claim that they are staff of the Agency or other justice offices and inform citizens by fax or phone to transfer their monetary possessions to the bank account monitored by the justice units for safety reasons. Therefore, all citizens are warned not to follow this kind of instructions to avoid any monetary loss.

Based on citizens’ reports, the Agency investigated and found that some fraudulent groups informed people by phone that their bank accounts had been stolen for criminal purposes and claimed themselves to be staff of the Agency and other judicial units to help them to report their account lists and money savings for safety purposes. When people checked the coming number and called the service line 104 or 105 to verify that the number was the number of the Agency of some judicial unit, they believed the story made by the fraudulent people and transferred their money to the custody account that those fraudulent groups provided due to being afraid of being involved in some financial criminal cases related to the bank accounts.

The Agency reiterated that people shall dial 165, the anti-fraud special line to inquire or report the case to the Criminal Investigation Bureau, or check the correct number of the Agency on websites or on the service line 104 or 105 and talk to the case officers of the Agency. Without any confirmation, all people shall not worry about rumors or blusters of fraudulent people, or transfer money to any accounts in doubt.

In addition, the Agency reminded citizens that any official notifications will be delivered with formal letterhead stationeries instead of by phone, and all doubtful information shall be verified to related governmental offices.
