Since it was founded on January 1, 2001 and through May 22, 2009, the Administrative Enforcement Agency's Administration Division saw successful enforcement actions against estates that amounted to more than NT$160 billion (same as below). By September 29, the amount broke NT$190 billion, reaching a specific total of NT$190,275,732,909. Facing the global financial tsunami and economic slowdown, enforcement personnel are still overcoming these difficulties and executing their jobs aggressively. They have contributed NT$10 billion to our national treasury in four months. In order to reinforce the administrative functions, the Administrative Enforcement Agency's Administration Division shows the determination of administrative agencies to enforce the laws and carry out the public power. The Division aims at those with big tax arrears who owe huge amounts of taxes, who invade properties intentionally or who even refuse to pay taxes maliciously. In addition to investigating such cases with all its strength, the Agency also actively testifies properties of the obligator available for enforcement and efficiently uses enforcement procedures as empowered by law. If the obligator satisfies legal conditions, we apply to the court for detention of the obligatory payment allowing the obligator has mental compulsion. Furthermore, we will overcome all difficulties to reinforce enforcement without turning a blind eye to putting an end to getaways by the luck of speculators. In consideration of offering handy services to the public, the Agency has commissioned convenience stores to collect administrative execution payments like income tax, sales tax and local taxes amounting to less than NT$20,000. The Agency has also enhanced self-contribution ratios in such measures. The results are all remarkable. In the future, we will continue to hold our administrative concept of justice and carefulness to make good use of information technology to control the property information rapidly and implementation measures as empowered by law. Meanwhile, we will also give consideration to protecting human rights and requesting executive personnel to be attentive to just legal procedures and service attitudes to execution. We will continue our efforts to enhance our implementation performance and attain marvelous achievements once again.
