Mobile payment in full operation and nearly NT$36,000,000 in sales reached after a few beeps

AEA branches across the country held the auction on April 3, kicking off the mobile payment service at the same time. The beeping sound never stopped in the meanwhile. Auction amount soon reached NT$35,974,496. In response to the mobile payment trend, AEA branches across the country started activating in sequence the mobile payment service device via Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay (Android Pay), and Taiwan Pay between January and March, 2018. The aim is to provide the general public with a more convenient mode of payment. As the mobile payment service was launched for the first time at all AEA branches, civilians participating in the auction became more actively involved as a result. The effect was outstanding. Real estate items successfully concluded of the auction this time included: plots of land and buildings in the Tayuan District, Taoyuan City, which the Taoyuan branch closed at NT$8,960,000-plus; plots of land in Tucheng District, New Taipei City, which the New Taipei City branch closed at NT$7,910,000; plots of land and buildings in Taibao City, Chiayi County, which the Chiayi branch closed at NT$3,020,000; plots of land buildings in Gushan District, Kaohsiung City, which the Kaohsiung branch closed at NT$2,620,000; plots of land in Neihu District, Taipei City, which the Shihlin branch closed with the obligor paying NT$2,300,000-plus on the spot; plots of land and buildings in South District, Taichung City, which the Taichung branch closed at NT$1,230,000-plus. Real estate is auctioned off this time about NT$30,830,000, marking an outstanding record. In addition, moveable property items listed for the auction this time were auctioned for NT$5,140,000 in total. The Ilan branch auctioned off a fishing boat for NT$2,700,000-plus. The Hsinchu branch auctioned off a set of gold jewelry for NT$1,210,000-plus. The Tainan branch auctioned off a car for NT$280,000-plus. The Chiayi branch auctioned off a truck and other items for NT$270,000-plus. The Kaohsiung branch auctioned off a pick-up truck for NT$230,000-plus. Other items auctioned off included pairs of sunglasses, bottled perfume, bottled Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor, sporting goods, Puer Tea bricks, cakes and many others. The general public bought the items at bargain prices, helping the government recover a huge loss in taxes and fees.
